Beautiful Day

Here is a feminine card to send to a girlfriend.  I have a group of friends that likes to shop and have lunch and this scene reminds me of those happy times.  I am entering this card in the Watercooler Wednesday Feminine Anything Goes Challenge #168

I recently purchased this Art Impressions Shoppes stamp set.  The card below was colored with Copic markers.

I thought it would be fun to try the card two different ways so I made a second card and water colored the scene.

I love the sentiment too and it is from the WPlus9 Doodle Buds set.  I feel like it captures the moment.

I can\’t decide which card I like better.  What do you think?

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. What a great girlfriend card Karen. You're right that cute little shop scene is perfect for this type of card and memories. I like the way you've coloured both cards, but I think I like the bolder, stronger tones in the Copic one. Gorgeous! Thanks so much for joining us this week at the Watercooler Wednesday WWC168 Feminine Anything Goes Challenge\”. Awesome!

  2. Just beautiful cards, Karen! They are both wonderful, but I often find myself drawn to the soft watercolouring. I love this image and I'm sure your friend will love this very special card. Thanks so much for sharing your work with us at Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week!

  3. Gorgeous card, Karen! I love that little shop scene and the sentiment you've used. Both cards are stunning. My preference is for the watercolours but I think it's the additional texture that draws me as well as the slightly softer colours. Thanks so much for joining our Watercooler Wednesday Challenge this week.
