WWC272 – Helen\’s Challenge: Anything Goes with a Masculine Twist

Hello and welcome!  This week we are making masculine cards at The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Helen is our hostess.  My son-in-law has a May birthday so this card is for Josh.  Josh is a big dog lover and the dog in the middle is his sweet dog Asuna.
Ink blended background using Catherine Pooler\'s Blue Suede Shoes.
I started by ink blending a blue background panel which I then put aside to dry.  On a white panel I die cut three windows for my pups and then fussy cut the curved edge.  Next, I stamped, Copic colored and die cut my pups.  Assembly was easy and I used foam tape to attach the white panel to the background and then popped the dogs on.

I saved the die cut circles and used them to make this Encouragement Card.

Supplies:
Mama Elephant Playful Pups stamps and dies
Catherine Pooler \”Its a Boy\” & \”Blue Suede Shoes\” ink
Picket Fence Studios Life Changing Brushes
SSS Stitched Circles
Neenah card stock
Copic markers
Black gel pen accents

I am playing along in:
The Paper Players CAS Men in Mind Challenge (#491)

The Paper Girls #200 \”All About the Boys\” Challenge

Paper Minutes Dog or Cat Challenge #641

I was very pleased to see this card designated \”A Cut Above\” by The Paper Players!

Thank you for stopping by!

WWC260 – Karen\’s Challenge: All About Occasions

Hello and welcome! This week we are making occasion cards at The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge.  I am excited because it is my week to host.  I chose to make a bright watercolor card.
Simon Says Stamp Birthday Word Mix 1 Circle Happy Birthday sentiment.

A friend gave me this die cut (Paper Roses Blooming Flowers). I used a tape runner to glue down the die cut panel to a card base.  Next I watercolored in each segment and then I attached the die cut sentiment (Simon Says Stamp Birthday Word Mix 1).  I love how bold the card turned out.

I\’ve entered this card in Simon Says Stamps \”Anything Goes\” Wednesday Challenge

I am so pleased that you stopped by!

Sympathy Card

Hello and welcome! I was in need of some sympathy cards and I thought it might be nice to create a little scene using the bench from a stamp and die set (WPlus9 New Home) that just arrived in the mail.
Sympathy Card using Altenew Garden Grow, Hero Arts January 2019 My Monthly Hero and WPlus9 New Home.
I wanted to pair it with two of my go-to stamp and die sets:  Altenew Garden Grow and Hero Arts January 2019 My Monthly Hero.  I started by stamping a background using SSS Sketchy Lines Background Stamp.  From black cardstock, I die cut the sentiment (SSS) twice and then glued together.  I Copic colored the potted plants, then die cut, assembled and adhered to the background using foam tape.
I am entering this card in:

As You See It Challenge.  My \”go to\” dies that I use most often are Altenew\’s Garden Grow and My Monthly Hero January 2019.  I love to use them both in scene cards.

WWC237 – Michelle\’s Feminine "Anything Goes" Challenge

Hello and Welcome! This week we are all creating feminine cards at the Watercooler Wednesday Challenge website.  Michelle is our hostess.
A handmade card using Echo Park\'s Wedding Bliss patterned papers.
I have a friend getting married so I made this card for her wedding.  I just received SSS\’s Clustered Leaves Outline die and I thought it would be perfect for the occasion.  I die cut the leaves in a soft neutral from Echo Park\’s Wedding Bliss Paper stack and again in white for the accent leaves. I also die cut and stamped the sentiment from Concord and 9th Happy Day.  The background paper is from the same Wedding Bliss paper pack.  The background has lovely printed bridal phrases like \”They lived happily every after.\”  I assembled the card and added three pearls to finish.

This card was difficult to photograph since it was so monochromatic. I gave it my best shot, the neutrals are richer in person and the card looks more dimensional.

Wishing you a lovely day!

WWC234 – Dawn\’s "All About Occasions" Challenge

Hello and welcome! This week it is all about occasions at  Watercooler Wednesday and I decided to increase my stock of Sympathy cards.  I find it easier to make them before they are needed.
I die-cut this pretty scripty sentiment from a yupo/alcohol ink sheet and then simply framed it.  I like the clean simple lines.

Supplies:
Yupo paper
Alcohol Inks
SSS With Sympathy die
MFT Stitched Rectangle die (Stax set 2)

WWC216 – Dawn\’s "All About Occasions" Challenge

Hello and welcome to Watercooler Wednesday\’s All About Occasions Challenge.  Dawn is our hostess this week.

Lawn Fawn\'s Perfectly Plaid designer paper.

I needed an Easter card so I challenged myself to use patterned paper with limited stamping.  I chose  bright cheery Lawn Fawn \”Perfectly Plaid\”.  I used one pattern to cover an A2 card and then selected a second pattern to die-cut SSS\’s Plush Carrot.   The carrot top is die cut from green embossed paper for some added texture.   I think this would make a darling stuffed ornament, but I needed a card.  Next, I embossed Rubbernecker\’s Three Line Frame on sherbet colored card stock.  I assembled the card using craft foam and Gina K connect glue and then added Lily of the Valley Jewels from Little Things from Lucy.

I am entering this card in:  The Paper Players Plaid or Checks Challenge

Happily Ever After Card for a Bridal Shower

It is wedding season so I\’ve been creating cards for Bridal Showers.    In anticipation of designing for brides, I ordered SSS\’s Floral Bliss stamp set and created three different cards.  I am entering this card in the Watercooler Wednesday Anything Goes Challenge .  I am especially happy with how this particular card turned out.  I love the slate cardstock behind the brightly colored flowers.

Handmade Card for a Bridal Shower
I stamped the image and some extra flowers and leaves so I could add dimension.  I colored  with Copic markers and then fussy cut everything. The bride\’s favorite color is blue so I wanted to use some pretty blue colors.    I like to use my teflon bone tool to smooth everything out after I am done cutting.  I arranged and then adhered with foam tape.  I love the sentiment, which I heat embossed.
Handmade Card for a Bridal Shower.

Since the cardstock is dark, I glued a white insert to the inside so I could write my message.  My daughter is a Bridesmaid in her friend\’s wedding and we are hosting the shower together at our home so I wanted to make sure we had a special card.

MFT Lucky Dog

My oldest has brown hair and lives with the most adorable Corgi named \”Newton\”.

I\’ve entered my card in: Addicted to Stamps Make Your Mark Challenge Link

  GRAB OUR BADGE!

I used SSS Abby\’s Spring Showers for each of the girls and MFT Lucky Dog for both pups.  I colored each card with Copic Markers.   I also \”made my mark\” and colored in  the sentiment for a brighter look.
