WWC263 – Tristan\’s Challenge: Anything Goes With a Masculine Twist

Hello!  I am so pleased you stopped by.  Today we are making Masculine cards at The Watercooler Wednesday Challenge and Tristan is our hostess.
In my family, boys/men enjoy humorous animal cards so that was my starting point.  I stamped, Copic colored and die cut the animals and greenery.  Next I die cut the sentiment and then assembled the scene with foam tape.  I thought the monkey swinging from the sentiment was fun.

Supplies:
Photoplay We Bought a Zoo stamps and dies
Mama Elephant Wild Meadow stamps and dies
Copic Markers
Lawn Fawn Celebrate Sentiment
Neenah cardstock
Coordinations Color Core \”Whitewash\” cardstock for the background

Seize the Birthday \”A Touch of Green\” Challenge I used a soft green textured background and lovely green foliage to showcase these party animals.

As You See It \”Preferences\” Challenge  My favorite type of card to send is Birthday cards.  I have a monthly calendar with friends and family\’s birthdays so I never miss a birthday.

Inspirational: Designer\’s Choice \”Animal\” My card features a playful trio of animals.

Alphabet Challenge – Something for Youngsters  I think animals are always a popular option for the youngsters in our life.

UPDATE:
I was so pleased to see this card was selected \”top 3\” at The Alphabet Challenge!

My card was also The Top Pick at As You See It.

Thank you for visiting my blog.

WWC218 – Marsha\’s "All About Occasions" Challenge

Thanks for stopping by! This week is Watercooler Wednesday\’s All About Occasions Challenge.  Marsha is our host.  Head over to the website for further details.

Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid purple paper
I started with Lawn Fawn\’s Perfectly Plaid paper and used a 2 1/2\” circle punch near the top of the panel. Then I distressed the edges and around the circle with Seedless Grape Preserves dye ink.
Next, I stamped Impression Obsession Baby Giraffe, colored with Copic markers and then fussy cut.  I arranged him peeping out of the circle window at a jaunty angle.  I added some flowers from Sunny Studio Tropical Paradise and embossed the birthday sentiment.  I wanted a  bit of dimension so attached the Perfectly Plaid layer to a lavender card base with craft foam and glue.  I added sequins, Wink of Stella on the blooms and horns, and Tonic Nuvo Glaze on the eyes.   I think the giraffe has a lot of personality and I love using this stamp.

Giraffe Baby Shower Card

I am going to a baby shower and the theme is giraffes.

Simon Says Stamp Stacking Animals giraffe
My friend\’s daughter is having a little girl so I went with a pink and yellow color theme.  SSS\’s Stacking animals is one of my favorite stamps sets and the giraffe always makes me smile.
I started by watercoloring a background panel with Rose Madder on Ranger Watercolor paper.  I colored the silly giraffe with Copic RV04, Y00, Y06 and Y08 and then die cut.
My idea was to have the giraffe peeking out of a circle die cut window with the pink background.   I stamped the Stamping Bella (Baby Carriage) sentiment added some Pretty Pink Posh jewels and paired with a bright pink envelop.  This card came together very quickly.
I am entering his card in:
Looking forward to taking this card to the shower.
UPDATE:  I was excited to learn that this card was selected as the CAS on Friday Winner!  I will be a guest designer in an upcoming challenge.
Thanks for stopping by,

Wild Whimsical Encouraging Animals

Who doesn\’t want to receive an encouraging card?  My daughter opened her own marketing firm a year ago and I wanted to send her a card for her first anniversary.  Giraffes are her favorite animal so I went with Simon Says Stamp\’s Stacking Animals.  I am entering this card in the  Time Out Challenge #108 WILD

Pattern Stamped handmade card using Simon Says Stamp Stacking Animals. Giraffe, elephant, turtle and bird.

I think pattern stamping is fun and festive so I went with that technique.  I colored the animals with Copic markers and then added Nuvo Crystal Glaze to the hearts and beaks to make them pop.

Thanks for stopping by.
