Altenew August 2022 Bold & Beautiful Release Blog Hop + Giveaway ($300 in Total Prizes!)

Altenew Precious Doodles Handmade Card.

Hello and welcome to Altenew’s August Blog Hop! I am so excited about the beautiful and fresh products that Altenew is releasing this month.

Altenew Precious Doodles Stamp and Die Bundle

I thought I would start with the Precious Doodles Bundle. When “doodles” is in the title, I know it is going to be a favorite of mine!

Precious Doodles is a happy little stamp layering set and I used Altenew Crisp Dye Inks: Cotton Candy + Coral Berry, Ocean Waves + Dusk, Parrot + Shadow Creek and Firefly + Green Fields. Once my Doodles were stamped, I embellished with Enamel Dots, die cut a frame, added the darling bee and die cut the sentiment.

Card #2 was quick and easy! I stamped and die cut four flowers, embellished with enamel dots and mounted on a simple background defined by washi tape.

Altenew Arch of Flowers Stamp, Stencil and Die Bundle

Handmade Card using Altenew's Arch of Flowers Stamp, Stencil and Die.

The Arch of Flowers Bundle is such a fun and creative kit! For my first card, I used the stamp, coloring stencil and die. The die is gorgeous and very detailed which really adds to its beauty! The coloring stencil was very easy to line up and use and I love the effect. The stamp set also has great sentiments included, which is always a big plus! To finish the card I just added enamel dots to the flower centers.

I also wanted to make a quick casual hello card with the stamp and coloring stencil. I angled the stamp and then quickly colored in the sunny little flower scene. Don’t the flowers look like they are reaching for the sun?

I think this would make a cute stationary set or get well card too.

Altenew  Washi Tape Explorer Blog Hop + Giveaway

Hello and welcome to Altenew’s Washi Tape Explorer Blog Hop! Washi tape is a beautiful way to add interest to your papercrafting projects and Altenew has 40% off on ALL Washi Tapes from 11/10/2021 until 11/16/2021 at 11:59 PM EST. Take a look at Altenew’s Collection of Washi Tapes.

Using Washi Tape for a Background

Washi tape can make a very dramatic background. For this card, I ink blended my circle die-cut with Warm Sunshine using my  Large Ink Blending Tool.  I  added two additional layers of ink around the outer edge to darken the perimeter.  The background is the  Many Dots Washi Tape adhered at an angle.

Using Washi Tape as an Accent

For my second card, I added my favorite Painted Grid Washi Tape along two sides of the card to partically frame my flowers. The flowers are Altenew’s Paint-A-Flower Clematis stamp, which is GORGEOUS and so fun to create with. I finished the card off with a couple of pearl grey New Day Enamel Dots.

Giveaway Prizes

$200 in total prizes! To celebrate this occasion, Altenew is giving away a $100  gift certificate to 1 lucky winner and a $20 gift certificate to 5 winners! Please leave a comment on the Altenew Card Blog and/or each designer’s blog post on the blog hop list below by 11/17/2021 for a chance to win. Altenew Mini Delight Bee Kind Instagram Hop

Altenew Bee Kind Mini Delight Release

Hello and welcome.  I have a quick blog post about the adorable new Altenew  Mini Delight: Bee Kind stamp and die set.  The Bee is beautiful in person!  It is 1 1/4\” tall by 2\” wide and is packed with so much fun in such a small size. The Bee is a simple layering stamp and I used Jet Black  with Warm Sunshine from the Rainbow Mini Cube Ink Set  for the stripes.  Sign up for the monthly Mini Delight Subscription Plan and get 20% off each month.

To set the scene, I used a The GardenTrellis Cover Die cut over a watercolor panel that I painted using The 36 Pan Watercolor Set.  I gently blended Warm Sunshine with a bit of Paper Bag for depth and variation.  I added one yellow and two black enamel dots from the  New Day set to complete the card.

I had so much fun making the first card that I made a quick companion birthday card.  I ink blended my circle die-cut with Warm Sunshine using my  Large Ink Blending Tool.  I  added two additional layers of ink around the outer edge to darken the perimeter.  The background is the  Many Dots Washi Tape attached at an angle.
