May Flowers

April Showers Bring May Flowers…isn\’t that the truth!  As I write this we are having a lazy rainy day in Texas and the colors outside are gorgeous and intense.   I followed the above prompt to enter the  CAS-ual Fridays Card Challenge  Here is my entry:

Handmade card using Power Poppy Go Wild stamp set.

I used a favorite stamp set, Power Poppy Go Wild, and colored with Tombow Watercolor markers.  I then fussy cut the image so my card would have dimension.  I made my card base from white woodgrain cardstock for some extra texture.  Next I took some black card stock and embossed the Get Well sentiment.  I adhered the flower jug and sentiment with foam adhesive.   I think the result is a cheerful get well card.

Beautiful Day

Here is a feminine card to send to a girlfriend.  I have a group of friends that likes to shop and have lunch and this scene reminds me of those happy times.  I am entering this card in the Watercooler Wednesday Feminine Anything Goes Challenge #168

I recently purchased this Art Impressions Shoppes stamp set.  The card below was colored with Copic markers.

Handmade card using AI Shoppes Stamp set
I thought it would be fun to try the card two different ways so I made a second card and water colored the scene.

I love the sentiment too and it is from the WPlus9 Doodle Buds set.  I feel like it captures the moment.

I can\’t decide which card I like better.  What do you think?

I stamped the frame, then the candles and colored with Copic markers.  I like that this card could be given to just about anyone so it is great to have on hand.

Watercolor Birthday Cake

I designed this card for the Inspired By All The Little Things Challenge #84.  I saw this challenge several days ago and I had so many ideas that I needed to ponder my card for a while.  I knew I wanted to make a birthday card and yesterday I decided to use my just purchased gold embossing powder for a watercolor card.  I designed it for my girly-girl sister\’s upcoming birthday.

Happy Day Concord and 9th Stamp set.

Here is the inspiration graphic:
Inspired By All The Little Things #84

For my card, I focused on:

  • The Cake Theme
  • The Pink, Turquoise/Aqua, Purple Color Scheme

Happy Day Stamps by Concord & 9th

This is my first time using this new to me stamp set – Happy Day from Concord & 9th.  I used Daniel Smith watercolors in Quinacrindone Pink, Quinacrindone Purple, Ultramarine Turquoise, and Green Gold.  The embossing powder is Ranger Princess Gold.

I am looking forward to giving this card to my sister.

Mother\’s Day Card

I am very excited about the Mother\’s Day card I created for my Mom.  I used the In Bloom Stamp Set from Create a Smile.

Handmade Mother\'s Day Card

I colored the flowers with Copic Markers and then fussy cut them out.  On card stock I added some paint splatters and then adhered each piece with adhesive foam squares.    Next, I embossed the sentiment (Hero Arts) on a strip of black card stock and then mounted on the card.  I am happy with the card and can\’t wait to share with my mother.

I am entering the card in the Create A Smile Challenge:
