WWC298 – Kath\’s Challenge: Anything Masculine Goes

Hello, hello and welcome! In my family \”puppy\” cards are always a hit and I created this one for Watercooler Wednesday\’s Challenge. Kath is our hostess this week and we would love for you to play along.

This week we are creating masculine cards and I used MFT\’s Lucky Dog stamp and die bundle along with Honey Bee Stamps Square Window Trio.

I die cut the three window frames, Copic colored and die cut the pups and hand inked the background panel for a bright bold look.

WWC225 – Donna\’s "All About Occasions" Challenge

Hello there! Today starts Watercooler Wednesday\’s \”All About Occasions\” Challenge and I\’ve created a Get Well Scene card. Donna is our hostess and I hope you will stop by our website to see what the other artists have created. This is such a fun prompt because there are dozens of occasions you can create a card for.

Last year, I ordered one of Simon Says Stamp\’s \”Mystery Sacks\” and Clearly Besotted\’s \”Lift Me Up\” was one of the sets in the package. I don\’t think I would have purchased this set, but I\’ve had a lot of fun playing with it. So far I\’ve made a birthday card, baby shower card and this Get Well card.

You can mix and match hot air balloons and baskets so I went with the duck balloon and puppy basket. I thought it would be fun to have a friend on the ground so I added the Scottie from MFT\’s Lucky Dog set. I colored and die-cut the pup and then adhered him to the bottom with foam tape so he would have dimension.

I stamped my little scene on an A2 panel and colored with Copic Markers.
I cut some masks because I wanted to add a \”cloud and ground\” background with Tumbled Glass (Tim Holtz) and Sand Dunes (Altenew) Die Ink. I used my new Picket Fences Life Changing Brushes.
Finally I die cut with a stitched rectangular die.

Birthday Balloons

Hello there! Last year, I ordered one of Simon Says Stamp\’s \”Mystery Sacks\” and Clearly Besotted\’s \”Lift Me Up\” was one of the sets in the sack. I don\’t think I would have purchased this set, but I\’ve had a lot of fun playing with it. So far I\’ve made a birthday card, baby shower card and Get Well card.

You can mix and match hot air balloons and baskets so I went with the duck balloon and puppy basket. I thought it would be fun to have a friend on the ground so I added the Chihuahua from MFT\’s Lucky Dog set. I colored and die-cut the pup and then adhered him to the bottom with foam tape so he would have dimension.

I started by inking the \”grass\” with Pink and Main\’s Pattern Maker Pinstripes with Twisted Citron Distress Ink.
Next I stamped my little scene on an A2 panel and colored with Copic Markers.
I cut some masks because I wanted to add a \”cloud\” background with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I used my new Picket Fences Life Changing Brushes.
Finally I die cut with a stitched rectangular die.
I think this is a cute little scene card and I am entering in the following:

Humorous But Masculine Valentine

I wanted to create a valentine that would appeal to men and thought a cute \”scene\” card featuring two dogs trying to get together in a florist shop would be fun. One dog is peering out over the window sill as the other dog is using a crate to try and climb inside.

To create my scene, I combined the January 2019 My Monthly Hero kit with two pups from MFT\’s Lucky Dog stamp set. I love both sets! First I created a background using Tim Holtz Stamper\’s Anonymous Bricked Layering Stencil and Simon Says Stamp Hybrid Stone ink. The stencil was not quite wide enough for the full card so I stenciled the right side and blended toward the middle, then stenciled the left side blending so that my A2 card was fully covered. I think the bricks turned out well.

Next I stamped (on Xpress It paper), colored (with Copics) and die cut the images with my new Gemini Junior. I then embossed the sentiment on the window. Using foam tape, I adhered my scene to the background.

A Blog Named Hero Crafter\’s Choice Challenge I received my January Hero Arts Kit this week and couldn\’t wait to start playing with it! I tried to attach the graphic but I received an error message.
