Spellbinders March 2025 Club Kits – Two Cards, Endless Creativity!

Die Cut handmade cards created with Spellbinders March 2025 Club Kits.

March is here, and with it comes Spellbinders’ March 2025 Club Kits, featuring some truly exciting club kits! This month, I crafted two very different—but equally fun—cards: one celebrating the great outdoors and another bringing stitched floral elegance to life. Let’s dive in!

Kits Used Today:

Card 1: A Fishing Adventure

Masculine fishing theme die cut card using Spellbinders March 2025 Small Die of the Month Kit. Two men are fishing on a dock, there is a "caught" fish on a line and the colors are primarily blue with the men wearing orange and green shirts and hats.

For my first card, I used the Die of the Month Club Kit – Fairways and Fish Tales, a perfect choice for masculine cards. This set brings all the charm of a peaceful fishing trip, complete with fishing rods, tackle boxes, and two friends casting their lines from a dock.

Since my husband is a fly-fishing enthusiast, this card is especially meaningful. The “Happiness is…” sentiment captures the joy of a day spent on the water. The color palette leans into lovely blues, accented with pops of orange and green, giving the scene a fresh and lively look. If you’re looking for a kit that’s perfect for the men in your life, this one is a winner!

For assembly, I used Bearly GlueFoam Squares and Craft Foam. To finish, I added some Clear Enamel Dots to simulate water splashes.

Handmade die-cut card featuring two male friends fishing on a wooden dock with fishing rods, tackle boxes, and a 'Happiness is...' sentiment. The color scheme is blue with pops of orange and green.

Card 2: Floral Elegance with Stitching & Die Cuts

Elegant handmade stitched card with a gold-threaded white background and die-cut flowers in pink, orange, and white, accented with gold detail. Created with Spellbinders March 2025 Stitching Die and Large Die Club Kits.

For my second card, I combined the Stitching Club of the Month Kit with the Large Die of the Month, which offers three design options: floral, dog, and dinosaur. I chose the floral dies and paired them with the intricate stitching background for a stunning, textured effect.

The stitching panel was cut from white cardstock and hand-stitched with gold thread, giving it a luxe feel. Then, I added die-cut flowers in pink, orange, and white, accented with gold, to create a truly elegant design. Stitched cards always have that “WOW” factor, and this one is no exception—handmade beauty that recipients love!

One thing I love about the stitching die background is that it’s just as beautiful unstiched. I plan to use it that way in the future for a more subtle yet equally stunning effect.

Spellbinders Cards | Be Bold Blooms Floral Die Kit 3 Ways

Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms Die Set (S5-502) handmade card.

Happy Birthday to me! I had several crafty items on my wish list that I received as birthday gifts:

I thought it would be fun to combine these products together for a birthday blog post.

Using Sarah Renae Clark’s Color Cubes and Catalogue

I love color so Sarah Renae Clark’s bundle has been so fun to explore! I started by looking for color inspiration in the Color Catalogue and then I pulled out several Color Cube Cards that I found inspiring. I like to start with the Color Catalogue where I can search by Color, Key Word or Collection. I wanted a bright springy card so I began by searching for combinations with hot pink/magenta. For my first card, I settled on combination #35. My second card uses #218.

Once I had my colors selected, I matched them up with hues in my new Papertrey Cardstock. I love that there are 36 colors in each package!

Spellbinders Flowers | Be Bold Blooms Die-Cutting Tutorial

I started die cutting with my Be Bold Blooms kit. I love the variety of flowers included…they are fun and whimsical! I used my Papertrey paper plus some Spellbinders Brushed Gold. I like that the gold adds a rich elegance without being too shiny.

I wanted to experiment with backgrounds too. For Card 1, I “debossed” my background panel with an older Embossing Folder of the Month called Intertwined Lattice. For Card 2, I die cut a frame with an old favorite Spellbinders Essential Rectangles.

Spellbinders Be Bold Blooms Die cut handmade card in blues and yellows.

I played around with layouts and once I had the die-cuts they way I wanted I carefully applied Press-N-Seal wrap over the top, flipped it over and applied Instant Dimension Foam Tape to the bottom of each piece. All I had to do was flip it back over, place, add a bit of pressure and then gently peel back the Press-N-Seal. So much faster than laying out, disassembling, adding foam tape and then reassembling piece by piece.

I added my sentiments (hello is from a past club kit) and was done.

I needed a Sympathy Card so did another quick card with white, gold and pink die cuts.

Spellbinders | December 2022 Club Kits

Die Cut Rainbow Heart Valentine Card using Spellbinders December 2022 Large Die of the Month Club Kit.

Rainbow Heart Die-Cut Valentine

Who is ready for Valentine’s Day? The Spellbinders December Club Kits are live and there are so many fresh ideas for Valentines Day and beyond. I am excited to show you the cards I made. I started with the Large Die of the Month called “Blooming Heart”.

I made this colorful card for my husband and I am so pleased with it! I started by cutting 20 1/4″ strips from leftover card stock scraps. The only color I repeated is the green that shows on both edges. Using a dot-liner glue runner, I added adhessive to cardstock and then I adhered each strip. This goes much more quickly than you think. Next, I die cut the heart from a 5 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ panel. Using foam tape, I attached the heart to the background panel. For me, the most difficult part was selecting a sentiment. I tried a bunch but eventually decided on this simple hot foiled sentiment from Spellbinders Mini Everday Sentiments set: GLP-260. It expresses my feelings without drawing the eye away from the rainbow heart.

Using 1/4" strips of paper to make a rainbow colored die cut heart valentine card,

The December Large Die of Month kit (Blooming Heart) is stunning and oh so fun! I die cut all my pieces using an additional metal shim for precise cutting. I then assembled the heart with liquid glue. Using foam tape, I attached the heart to a mushroom colored background and then adhered it to an A2 card base. The sentiment is again hot foiled using Spellbinders Mini Everday Sentiments set: GLP-260.

Embossing Folder of the Month: Heart Blooms

Spellbinders December 2022 Embossing Folder of the Month: Heart Blooms Valentine Card.

Don’t you just love the texture on this gorgeous embossing folder? It is called Heart Blooms and I wanted it to be the star of this card. I embossed a panel of mushroom colored cardstock. I then added a hot foiled sentiment to a 2″ strip of cardstock and then embellished with die-cut flowers from this month’s Large Die of the Month and greenery from a previous release.

Small Die of the Month: Stitched Heart Card Front

Spellbinders December 2022 Small Die of the Month: Stitched Heart Card Front "stitched valentine".

This stitched valentine kit is so pretty….the card just glows in person! I started by die cutting the diamond backdrop in salmon and brushed gold cardstock and then I stacked them. You don’t really notice the bottom layer but it adds nice dimension. I glued the two delicate pieces together with E6000 spray glue, which is perfect for this type of die cut.

The background is lovely but simple and I know I’ll be using it a lot on future cards. I cut one white panel and two from brushed gold. I assembled by scooting one of the gold panels slightly above the white and one slightly below so there is a pretty band of gold at the top and bottom. The sentiment is included in the kit.

I die cut the heart from white cardstock and then did my stitching in front of a fire in our hearth. I used DMC gold floss. I added some white enamel dots for embellishment and attached to an A2 Top Fold Card Base. I made this card for my mom.

Spellbinders September 2022 Card Club Kits

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Thankful Tractor handmade card.
Thankful Tractor Card

Hello friends! It’s reveal day for Spellbinders September Club Kits and I am excited to share four cards with you. My projects feature the Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month and Embossing Folder of the Month and as you can see, the new kits are so fun!

Spellbinders September 2022 Large Die of the Month Club Kit: Thankful Tractor

Its harvest time and I love the veggies and adorable tractor included with this month’s Large Die of the Month kit called Thankful Tractor! The kit is large so I made a substantial 5 x 7″ card. I used bright bold green, yellow and orange cardstock for my focal elements. To set the stage I embossed my background with the September Embossing Folder of the Month. Next, I tore a piece of kraft cardstock and then lightly ink blended my “dirt”. I assembled my project with glue and foam tape. I found using a sticky mat helped with the die cut assembly.

Spellbinders September Embossing Folder of the Month: Scattered Fall

I love the vegetables so much that I made a second card. I again embossed the background with the September Embossing Folder of the Month. The basket was die cut from Frosted Silver Mirror Cardstock using last month’s Large Die Kit of the Month called “Strawberry Patch”.

I added a sentiment (retired) and flowers from the kit that were embellished with Crystal Mix Gems (SCS-128) and then used a Spellbinders A2 Top Fold Card Base.

Spellbinders Small Die of the Month: Stitched Fall Leaves

This month’s Small Die of the Month has loads of beautiful stitched leaves with coordinating shadows plus two word sentiments (hello fall). For my first card, I wanted to showcase the elegant simplicity of just one leaf. The stitching went very quickly and I kept the rest of the card clean and simple.

I used the included hello sentiment die. This is a beautiful yet delicate die and I’ve found it works well if you attach a sheet of double sided adhesive paper to the cardstock prior to die cutting. After you die cut, just pull away the backing paper and apply!

Wouldn’t it be fun to make a series of these as a gift?

“Unstitched” Card

“Unstitched” Fall Leaves

The leaf dies in the September Small Die of the Month kit are so fun that I wanted to make a card without stitching. To keep the theme, I mounted the leaf and shadow on a panel die-cut with one of my favorites, Essential Rectangles Dies. I love how this keeps the unstitched card theme. The gold details are achieved using Brushed Gold Cardstock and I mounted the panel with foam tape on an A2 Top Fold Cardbase. I find the result is a fresh clean card.

I think the September kits are sure to be favorites…what do you think?

Spellbinders | Embossing Folder of The Month | August 2022 | Intertwined Lattice

Spellbinders August Embossing Folder of The Month Kit + Baby Card.
Intertwined Lattice 3D Embossing Folder

Blue Card for a Baby Shower

I LOVE the Spellbinders August Embossing Folder of the Month! It is called Intertwined Lattice, is very versatile and will work with so many designs. For my baby card, I “debossed” my panel which means the design is pressed below the paper’s surface. I then paired my debossed panel with one of my new favorites: Balloon Party Animal (S3-450). The blue print background is from Spellbinders Cheerful Occasions Paper Pad and I used Craft Foam under the top panel for dimension.

I think this is an adorable baby card.

Hello You Strawberry Card

Spellbinders Intertwined Lattice 3D Embossing Folder.

For my second card, I used the “embossed” side of the panel. Embossing means the design is raised above the panel. The August embossing folder is beautiful embossed (below) and debossed (card #1 above)

Spellbinders August 2022 Card Kits: Embossing Folder of the Month, Strawberry Patch Large Die of the Month and Outlined Sentiments Small Die of the Month.

I love the texture that the embossing adds to cards. For this card I used three of Spellbinders August 2022 Subscription Kits: Large Die of the Month called Strawberry Patch, Small Die of the Month and Embossing Folder of the Month. The sentiment was die-cut from Brushed Gold Cardstock using Outlined Sentiments dies and I love the bit of glow it adds to the card.

Spellbinders Large Die of the Month Kit | August 2022 | Strawberry Patch

Spellbinders August 2022 Large Die of the Month Strawberry Patch Kit handmade card.

Die Cut Strawberry Themed Cards

The Spellbinders August 2022 Large Die of the Month Strawberry Patch kit is just perfect for summer! I made three cards and I can’t decide which I like best. The first one I made for my daughter and her husband to go with a housewarming gift. Doesn’t the strawberry plant look like it’s dancing? I think it is so lively and cheerful!

The dies are big and beautiful so my first card is 4 1/4″ x 6 1/2″. I wanted variations in my reds and greens so I dove into my paper scrap stash and pulled out some pretty cardstock leftovers. The basket is die cut from Brush Gold Cardstock.

Don’t you just love the pretty little strawberry blossoms? I know I will be using these on future cards because they are so fresh and happy.

Strawberry Trio Card

Trio of die cut Strawberries on a handmade card.

The die cut strawberries are so animated and joyful that I thought it would be fun to spotlight three berries with blooms on card #2. Once again, I die cut the strawberries with Spellbinders August 2022 Large Die of the Month Kit called Strawberry Patch. I used Taylored Expressions Square Window Masking Stencil and then blended Grass Fields, Warm Sunshine and Peacock Feathers for my background. I again used cardstock scraps so that each of the three berries would be a different shade of red.

The “Cheers” sentiment is from Spellbinders August Small Die of the Month kit, which is filled with great delicate sentiment dies and coordinating sentiment shadows. Before die cutting, I attached adhessive sheets to the cardstock which made sentiment placement so easy!

For my final card, I combined three August 2022 Spellbinders Kits: Large Die of the Month (Strawberry Patch), Small Die of the Month (sentiments) and Embossing Folder of the Month. I think they all work so well together.

Handmade card featuring the August 2022 Large Die of the Month, Small Die of the Month and Embossing Folder of the Month.

I die cut the two sentiments from Brush Gold Cardstock. Prior to die-cutting, I attached adhessive sheets to the cardstock and this made sentiment placement so easy! I also matted the embossed panel with red patterned paper.

Spellbinders Stitchmas Christmas

Spellbinders "Stitchmas Christmas" Stitched Ornament card.

Spellbinders Stitched Ornament Die (S4-1231)

Welcome back friends! I am excited to share a gorgeous stitched ornament die that Spellbinders just released as part of their Stitchmas Christmas line. I made an elegant Christmas Ornament Card in gold and spruce green. The stitching was easy and I spent a relaxing hour or so adding the gold thread details.

Elegant die cut and stitched Christmas Card in Green and Gold.

I started by cutting the ornament from Blue Spruce cardstock. Then I cut the ornament background, greenery and accents from Brush Gold Cardstock. Using Gold Floss, I stitched the embroidered details and then assembled my ornament. The background is a mat of Brush Gold Cardstock and a designer paper from the Cheerful Occasions pad. I love the variety and beauty of this pack!
